Back in June we revealed that after the Mexico crusade, TB Joshua did not return to Lagos, but remained in Mexico to sit out the coroner’s verdict. This news came from a trusted insider source and was confirmed by some other observations. Since then, there hasn’t been any confirmed news until around 6 weeks ago when rumours started to come out about him greeting international visitors when they visited SCOAN in Lagos. We have now been able to confirm from multiple sources that he returned to Lagos about 2 and a half months back (which conveniently would have been soon after the revelation that he may not be prosecuted for criminal negligence after all), and has indeed been greeting some parties of international visitors.
This would have placed him in Lagos for the anniversary of the building collapse, so why did he snub it? Why didn’t he at least send a video greeting (since they have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of TV equipment)? Why have there been messages from him in live Sunday services read out on his behalf? Some have speculated that he’s got a serious illness. Others have speculated that he’s under house arrest and forbidden from making public appearances. Either way, SCOAN are either unwilling or unable to allow him to be seen in public, and his absence is becoming more suspicious by the week.
