In the last post, we looked at some particularly disturbing ideas coming from the site “Watch TB Joshua” claiming that TB Joshua is the messiah. In this post, we will write about why we believe that these claims are not the views of an obsessed individual, but actually the exact message TB Joshua himself wants to project.
If you want people to believe you’re the Messiah, do you publicly tell everyone that? Or do you make continuous and subtle suggestions over many years until a decent number of people start making the claim on your behalf? TB Joshua has wisely taken the second option.
The claims of Soe on “Watch TB Joshua” are not uncommon, what is uncommon is how blatant they are. One of the comments highlights this fact as one follower of TB Joshua objects to the claims:
Please stop blaspheming. How can you equate TB Joshua to Jesus Christ. I do not believe you started this debate in good faith. You want to bring controversy around the name of the prophet. I watch his teachings everyday and not once has he implied that he more than a servant of our Lord and savor Jesus Christ.
Then in another comment says:
Let us make our Standard for Life the word of God. Only then will we interpret the bible accurately and stop speculating and insinuating mischevously about who Prophet TB Joshua. Allow the prophet to fulfill his mandate from God i.e. “Redeem and save our generation”
To which Soe (quite rightly) replies:
Isn’t such also the mandate given to the messiah?
Here we see that even someone who reacts negatively to the claim that TB Joshua is the messiah, actually believes the same, she just hasn’t put it in so many words before.
This is not surprising because SCOAN publicity is littered with subtle (and not so subtle) messianic claims, for example – TB Joshua keeping a watchful eye over our planet.

Emmanuel TB’s official blog is called “Distance is not a barrier”. Isn’t that stating the obvious given that God is omnipotent? This slogan makes no sense unless we were talking about God in human flesh, i.e. a christ.
Numerous other hints could be mentioned, such as TB Joshua’s teaching that his words are infallible, naturally leading to the belief that they are equal to scripture, or the claim that TB Joshua is the Junior brother of Jesus (in other words, the son of God). However, the best evidence that this is the message SCOAN are subtly (and not so subtly) projecting is documented in the series of posts Soe has compiled starting here.
A message to SCOAN
It’s not unlike you to issue official press releases to address incorrect rumours. If you genuinely have no intention of giving the impression we’ve described above – you need to clearly and emphatically deny them. Distancing yourself from the blogs in question is not enough, you need to clearly state that TB Joshua is not a messiah* but a human being in as much need of God’s saving grace as any other, and that any claims to the contrary are blasphemy of the highest order.
We await your response, but until then we will be left with no other option than to assume that this is the impression you intend to give.
A message to supporters of TB Joshua, Emmanuel TV and SCOAN
You should pay careful attention to these developments. As you can see from this article, it does seem very clear that SCOAN are implying that TB Joshua is a messiah, even if they have never said it outright. You need to be pressing them for clear answers on this issue.

When people quote this Mathew 24:24 , they conveniently forget to read it in context : the false prophet OVERTLY(without room for speculation of subtle claims, as is being suggested) claims HE IS the messiah !! In addition , the Bible does not say he will do those mighty signs and wonders by the name of Jesus . In fact , the Bible makes it clear that it is not possible to make anything come to pass in the name of Jesus without the consent of the Holy Spirit !!!

The first, third and forth images were sourced from the SCOAN London website. The first is the annointed sticker and the third and forth are on the Annointing Water packaging. The Side View magazine was admitedly sourced from the Watch TB Joshua website, we showed it to an ex-disciple who didn’t recognise it but said they have had various internal publications over the time at SCOAN, so it is most likely one of them. No, we don’t have proof on that one, but ask yourself – how can you explain it any other way? If Soe was mocking up an image for his website, why would he make it out to be a magazine cover?
As for Soe’s IP address, I think you’re bringing up a red herring here. The issue is not what Soe says, it’s what SCOAN says. Is Soe stating explicitly what SCOAN are saying implicitly? Rather than wondering who Soe is, why not discuss what the meaning of the images and statements mentioned above are.
Thank you for your reply and for sourcing the images. Raising Soe ip’s question was because this blog is stating that he is (or was) a disciple of TBJ. This same Soe has inspired you to write this article and also the front last article. So to make sure that every arguments is solid, the least but not last thing to do is to check if this Soe is not fake. If finally he is a lie, all your articles are to be questionned.
As I said, it’s like a scientific demonstration, if your hypothesis is false, your whole demonstration will become false, EVEN IF it is logical and full of sense.It is a fact.
Even if it transpired the Soe was actually against TB Joshua and was writing the blog to discredit him (although we know that’s not the case), it wouldn’t take away any weight from the argument presented above, because the argument presented above uses SCOAN sourced material. The only reason Soe comes into the equation is that he is stating explicitly that TB Joshua is the messiah, something that SCOAN have only ever implied. As we stated in the article, a false christ is unlikely to make the messianic claim themselves, but instead condition their followers over a number of years until they make the claim on their behalf. Soe is not the first to make this claim, but he’s the first to make it so publicly.
T B Joshua never went to the cross, he never died nor rose from the dead, nor did he ascend to heaven. but is still at Ikotun Egbe, in Lagos, his headquarters, yet he loves to be acclaimed a messiah. Yes, he knows there are stupid people out there who would believe his lies, and he’s begun with Soe and Doe to bear the responsibility of “projecting” him as messiah, but he’s failed woefully ! You forgot some points: There is the old anointing sticker and the new anointing sticker; There is the old anointing water and the new anointing water and there is the anointed water as emblems of Scoan.
All these have the picture of TB Joshua instead of Jesus Christ, there is no picture of the cross of Christ. The belief is in TB Joshua and not Jesus Christ. You forgot another thing The prayers: In praying one has to agree with TB Joshua and not Christ to mention but a few.

T B Joshua’s claim that he is the messiah is SATANIC and demonstrates that we’re already in the LAST DAYS when many false prophets shall claim to be messiahs. No one should be surprised at all because our Lord Jesus had already warned us that this would happen, and only those who believe this nonsense would be deceived. In other words, if you IGNORE the Lord’s warning, then you could become a victim of this fake Nigerian prophet, and don’t blame anyone but your own self.
T B Joshua must come out to confess his sin of claiming to be the messiah, misleading those with weak minds, and offer an unreserved apology to all his deluded followers. If he confesses his sin and retracts this abominable claim, perhaps the judgement that is already upon his head might be mitigated.

Why do you base your judgements on a particular message you heard of which you misinterprete. I believe you should have a sence of reasoning here, unless you are not a christian. when T.b.J say; we should ask him (GOD) not to comfort us untill we are cleansed. What does that tell you? What are we to be cleansed of? Our righteousness? Certainly not! but sin. And the prayer point that day was taken from psalm 51. ask Jesus not to comfort us until we’re cleansed from our sin. How does that pay attention to T.b. Joshua? In subsequent messages he talks about sin being the bitter root of all pain and we should strike the root by acknowledging we are sinners in need of God’s mercy and favour (luke 5:8) then when we are forgiven, we are healed, blessed, delivered indeed.etc. How does this go against christ? So if you actually did not get the whole message or do not understand the message, then it will do you more good to remain silent!

This is exactly true. Have spoken to them face to face and this is exactly how they think. It is no use……….it is realy NO USE, they only see and believe what they want and what tbj feeds them. It is unbelievable how strong his mind control and his control is over them! His evil magnetic pull over them.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God – 2 Corinthisans 4:4.
The spirit of delution is unbelievably strong in that place.

Here we have another prophecy of Jesus, in Numbers 24
“I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.” (v17)
Smite Moab (modern day southern Jordan). Earlier in verse 14, we have the context of when this takes place: “I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the LATTER DAYS.” (last days, “end times”).
The prophecy goes on – quite clearly – to list the other nations this “Sceptre, the Star out of Jacob” shall destroy in the latter days, (by the way, all of whom today are middle eastern nations and fall under Islam).
Could you please explain how TB Joshua fulfills this prophecy?

There is only one Messiah and His name is Jesus, the Savior who died on the cross to redeem mankind. T B Joshua is a false messiah. I have said again and again and again that this T B Joshua is deceitful, dishonest, a hypocrite, a liar, a 419 prophet, adulterer, fornicator and what have you, and now he has proved me right beyond any shadow of doubt. Giles don’t misquote things here. Num 24:17. That prophecy was about Jesus coming out out of the lineage of Jacob,(of which Jesus did came) And i seriously do not think it has anything to do with the second coming coz Jesus wasn’t even given birth to then.

Yes Doi, the prophecy is about Jesus. Theres a lot of information to gather from what is said. As you rightly pointed out, it shows that He would be of the lineage of Jacob, not Esau. But dont stop there. Why is it that you can understand the “Star out of Jacob” bit, but you dont understand what “Smite the corner of Moab” means?

Heres what another prophet later prophecied regarding what would happen to Moab in the latter days. Jer 48:43-47

See Doi, both these prophecies are of the same nation, the modern day Jordan. Both give the time this will happen: in the last days. The Star of Jacob, Jesus, in the “end times”, is going to destroy Jordan. The Numbers prophecy uses the word “smite”. Jeremiah uses the word “judgement”.

It is beter not to go to these lengths to “BUILD A NAME FOR YOURSELVES” like in the days of the Tower of Babel – “Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, SO THAT WE MAY MAKE A NAME FOR OURSELVES” – Gen 11:4.
There is only ONE Anointed One from God now and that is Jesus the Messiah (Christ). If we are born again and spirit filled, we are all under His Anointing. So there is nothing to brag about. Jesus is the One……….although many might be filled with the Holy Spirit and received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In the end, we only partake of His Anointing. The focus should only be on Jesus and on no one else.

The later days didnot talk about the second coming of Jesus but the first. Except you are telling me that in Jesus’ second coming, he would also come from the leneage of Jacob. Then, no one knew about anyone called Jesus Christ. Latter days then, meant the first coming. So Many of these prophecies Must have been fufilled without our recognition. I’ve been suspecting you are on a completely different belief to Christians for a while now. If you dont believe that Jesus, the Messiah is God Himself, then you are not a Christian.
If you believe that Jesus is the Messiah, a prophet, but merely a mortal man, then you fall in line with Muslims.
If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, a prophet, but NOT God – you fall in line with Jehovah’s Witnsesses and Mormons.
If you say that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, and God Himself, you fall in line with the Christians.

Doi, you are of course free to believe whatever you want about Jesus, but you have to realise that to be a Christian means to subscribe to a particular set of beliefs. Some of these are less essential than others, but Jesus being God is one of the most essential of the lot. If you believe anything else, then simply put, you don’t believe in the Jesus of the bible.
John 1 starts with “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Then in verse 14 it continues “14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Here it is quite clear that “The Word” is Jesus, he is both the Son of God, and God himself. He was there from the beginning and is the creator of all things. Believe what you like about Jesus, but don’t call it Christianity if your view of Christ contradicts the revelation of scripture.

But I have every good reason to direct Sina to where he/she can go look for money from the collections which TBJ collects from the Lord’s people, and it is not TBJ’s money ! With Christianity, it is stated quite clearly in the Bible that Jesus is the Son of God –
(Matthew 3:17: “And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased’”)
and that He – Jesus – and God are one (John 10:30 – “I and the Father are one.”).
One cannot rightfully consider himself or herself a Christian without professing faith in Jesus as God.
The Scriptures reveal that Jesus is God in human form, slain for the sins of the world (John 3:16).
Jesus – THE MESSIAH – came to provide salvation for all those who receive Him as Savior and repent of their sins and stop with their sins.
Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus provides salvation for us because we are absolutely incapable of saving ourselves.

To answer in brief, the purpose of this blog is to expose TB Joshua. In this article, concerning whether he is the Messiah, I’m trying to get to the bottom of the definition of Messiah.
Well, you can ask Jehovah’s Witnesses themselves. They are very similar to what Christians believe, and you have to really sift through their literature to spot the differences. Apart from trivial issues like hell and blood transfusion, the single most important difference between JWs and Christians is that they say that Jesus is not God. He is a created being, like humans, God’s “firstborn”, and was sent to earth as the Messiah, the Son of God. But they refuse to say He is actually God.
I’ve had a few knocking on my door in the past and we’ve discussed these sort of things at great length.

I didn’t ask my question because it hasn’t been answered but because i wanted a second confirmation. You all are now exposing your true nature and motives. At first your Authors said they have many people who have been affected with the happenings at Scoan and what to use this medium to warn other about T.b. Joshua as a false/fake prophet. Now, does anything GOOD come out from FAKE? I can recall you guys advicing people not to go to SCOAN and can worship God in their local church and they shouldn’t even watch Emmanuel T.v. But today, here you all are advicing your comenters to go to T.b. Joshua for help because you can’t render it. This means you actually believe there is something good coming out of Scoan which you’ll never mention because of hatred. What a SHAME! I can clearly see with this that your motives are far beyound warning others but to ruin T.b. Joshua’s reputation because of one or two issues you have with Him.

You claimed that T B Joshua is distributing salvation to all those whose “files” are at SCOAN, making your fake prophet equal to Jesus Christ, because Jesus alone is the Saviour. Now, you just need to confess your sin of blasphemy and ignorance and ask the Lord for forgiveness, and tell TBJ to stop misleading you people !
Aaaaaaaah-I see the snake is half way out of his hole. Good, you went to tell “daddy” everything and got a second confirmation from him to call Jesus God. Wonder if he meant it, as he is known as someone whose words you cannot trust (snake) and will use any and all means (eg the Sina story) to protect his reputation and build a name for himself.

If you do not warn people about their errors or false religions they are caught in, it means you do not love them and do not care if they go to hell or not.
The Bible does not keep quiet if someone or group is in error, including other religions.

The Apostles and Prophet in the Bible did not back down from speaking the Truth, or warn people, who were in error. They stood for the Truth.
They did not tolerate a fruitcake church united in errors.

Profhet tb Joshua, has in spite of his seemingly healing qualities, a violent and abusive spirit. This spirits are in his spirit. This creates the confusions about him and the anoiting he releases. The anoiting is at first loveble and becomes later on; hurting and paining. His words and statements are opposites, this means, it creates irritations, quilt and is putting down, because its on the flesch-level, not on spirit-level. So; in the natural he conjurings words, to trick and distract, to controle and demand. In the spirit he releases violent and abusive elements. He is in the flesch and in the spirit attached and addicted to this tendensies. His pride and self-glorifing is the result of a superior-inferior-complex. So; this is the mantel of profetic honour, the world was waiting for. He is not dangerous, he is a pityfull man. We better pray for his soul.

just to see if i can post something.. The yard-stick by which we can discern error is the scripture. If certain happenings are divergent to the scripture, as it is the case with with the above mentioned man, we disragard them and consider them deceptons.
Yes, so many things happening at SCOAN are contrary to the Scriptures, but the pity of it all is the problem of ignorance on the part of the people who are being deceived by this false prophet. T B Joshua himself is deceived and he imagines he is messiah. It is a sad case of the blind leading the blind, so let us pray for those caught in this trap so that their deliverance may come sooner than later.

I tried to put that down to cultural/language differences but it has bothered me a great deal. There is no screen of salvation. Jesus is Salvation. Period. End of story.

If what TBJ and everyone else are doing does not have God’s backing, they will surely crumble and come to nought. Every child of God is supposed to know the bible for themselves so that they can ‘test’ if the spirit behind ‘men’ of God is surely the Holy Spirit of God. I imagine if today, people would line up streets so that the shadow of a man of God may fall ln them and they get healed, or maybe if they are too sick to lie allong a street, someone will take a piece of cloth to the man of God to pray over it, and they put it on the sick person and they recover. Many of us would say thats witchcraft. But that the bible. Is there a formular to doing God’s work? How about making clay with sputum and ‘anointing’ EYES of a blind person! We would be shocked!So whats the formular to doing God’s work? What does it mean to say ‘greater works than these’ shall u do? And ‘be it unto you according to YOUR faith?’. And ‘in His is image created He them, male and female..’ what is the image, black? White? Yellow? Man is a creator like God! What is unacceptable to God is to be ambitious like lucifer, to say ‘i shall be like God’. Anyone who does that surely falls! Are you a child of God? Do you want others to know Him? Then point them to the true word of God and stop telling men of God how they should serve God who sent them, unless you are a ‘JOHN’ to them. Those ‘men’ of God in error will surely fall, God will not leave them alone deceiving His people. TAKE CARE TO YOURSELVES LEAST YOU MAY BE FOUND TO BE FIGHTING AGAINST GOD LIKE SAUL!
